## Page Content

Quick summary

You do not need to choose a facial area or arrive with a treatment plan. If several lines catch your attention, or the concern looks different with expression, at rest or after makeup, bring those observations to a consultation. Corey Anderson RN can look at the whole pattern, listen to what matters to you and help decide whether one area deserves closer assessment, another pathway is more useful, or leaving things alone feels right.

## Begin with the change that catches your attention

You do not need to choose a facial area or arrive with a treatment plan. If several lines catch your attention, or the concern looks different with expression, at rest or after makeup, bring those observations to a consultation. Corey Anderson RN can look at the whole pattern, listen to what matters to you and help decide whether one area deserves closer assessment, another pathway is more useful, or leaving things alone feels right.

Some weeks the concern is obvious only when you lift your brows or frown. On another day, a line may remain after your face settles, or makeup and dry skin may make it stand out. Those differences are useful context; you do not have to diagnose them yourself.

This is the broad Prahran pathway when more than one area or pattern needs sorting. If forehead lines noticed after brow styling are the clear question, use the [focused Prahran forehead guide](/forehead-wrinkle-treatment-prahran/). If you mainly want help planning an appointment from Prahran, use the [local consultation guide](/aesthetic-consultation-prahran/).

## What are you noticing in ordinary life?

With expression

### It appears as your face moves

Notice whether it becomes clearer when you lift your brows, frown, smile or narrow your eyes naturally.

After expression

### It remains when your face settles

Look again without holding a pose. Resting lines, skin condition and surrounding features may need a different conversation.

Across the week

### Makeup, lighting or pace changes it

Bring the pattern you notice. A busy day can sharpen your attention without making the decision urgent.

A useful starting point is when you notice the change, not a treatment category.

## Bring observations, not a finished decision

Choose two or three moments that describe the concern: perhaps it appears during expression, remains in neutral light, or becomes more noticeable after a long day. A natural photograph can help show the context, but Corey will also need to see your face moving and settled in person.

Bring current medicines and supplements, relevant health changes, allergies, previous cosmetic-care dates and any upcoming travel or important events. If earlier care was elsewhere, share the records you have; incomplete details may simply mean more time or information is needed.

It also helps to say what you would like to preserve, including ordinary expression, brow movement or simply looking recognisably like yourself. The consultation can then focus on the question that matters instead of turning every visible line into a plan.

### Several areas or patterns feel connected

This page is for a broad Prahran concern when you are not yet sure what should lead the conversation.

### You want practical visit planning

Read the [Prahran consultation guide](/aesthetic-consultation-prahran/). If you are deciding when to return after previous care, use the [rebooking guide](/wrinkle-treatment-intervals-when-to-rebook/).

## You will meet with Corey throughout

Corey Anderson is the Registered Nurse who listens to the concern, observes your expression, reviews your history and explains the reasonable next steps. That continuity gives you space to ask questions of the person making the assessment. You can [meet Corey before your visit](/team/) or [verify his Ahpra registration](/verify/).

Movement, resting appearance, skin context and what matters to you are considered together.

## How Corey places the concern in context

Corey looks at the face relaxed and during ordinary expression, then considers skin condition, nearby features and any asymmetry relevant to what you have noticed. The purpose is to understand the concern as a whole, not to create a larger treatment plan.

Your health history, medicines, allergies, pregnancy or breastfeeding where relevant, previous cosmetic care, current skin condition, timing and expectations also shape the discussion. Corey explains what can reasonably be assessed, where uncertainty remains and whether any option is suitable to discuss.

The next step may be a more focused assessment, a treatment conversation, more observation, later review, referral or no cosmetic treatment. If an option is suitable to discuss, relevant risks, alternatives, costs and consent come before any decision to proceed.

## When waiting or another pathway comes first

Waiting can be useful when previous care may still be settling, records are missing, the skin or eye area is irritated, you are pregnant or breastfeeding, an important event leaves little room for review, or you simply want more time. New pain, vision change, weakness, infection concern or rapidly changing swelling needs an appropriate medical pathway rather than a routine cosmetic appointment.

A recommendation to pause, seek another opinion or leave the concern alone can still give you clarity. The aim is an informed decision that feels proportionate to your health, your schedule and what you want to preserve.

Your appointment has room for context, questions and an unhurried decision.

## Frequently asked questions

How is this different from the South Yarra page?

The South Yarra page is framed around photo, video call and social comparison pressure. This page is broader: it helps sort visible lines when a busy work, social or event schedule is making the decision feel rushed.

Should I use this page or the local forehead page?

Use this page when the concern is broad or uncertain. Use the focused forehead page if the main question is horizontal forehead movement, brow position, forehead creasing or whether that area needs a separate risk and suitability discussion.

Can I bring photos to the consultation?

Yes. Photos can help explain when you notice the concern, but they do not replace assessment. Lighting, makeup, facial expression, camera angle and social context can all change how lines appear. Bring timing, previous care details, current medicines, skin history, event timing and the questions you want answered. Better preparation helps the appointment stay focused and cautious.

What if I have an event coming up locally?

Mention the date, travel plans and any need for review access. Event timing can affect whether treatment discussion is appropriate, whether waiting is wiser, and whether expectations are realistic. The practical value is easier review planning and clearer follow up, not faster treatment. Suitability still depends on assessment, history, risks, consent and whether waiting or referral is safer.

Can treatment be discussed on the day?

It may be discussed if Corey considers it suitable and appropriate after assessment, consent and risk discussion. Booking a consultation does not make treatment automatic, and waiting or declining can be the appropriate outcome. A consultation can remain assessment only. Corey may recommend treatment planning, waiting, review, referral or no cosmetic treatment depending on risks, expectations and consent readiness.

What details should I bring if I have had previous treatment?

Bring dates, areas treated if known, response, side effects, concerns and any records you have. Previous treatment can affect assessment, timing, facial movement and whether more treatment discussion is appropriate. Bring timing, previous care details, current medicines, skin history, event timing and the questions you want answered. Better preparation helps the appointment stay focused and cautious.

Is this page for frown lines or outer eye lines?

It can be a starting point if you are unsure, but focused pages are better once the area is clear. Frown and outer eye concerns need their own movement, risk and suitability discussion. The answer depends on individual assessment with Corey, including facial movement, skin quality, health history, expectations, risk discussion, alternatives, consent and review planning.

Where is the clinic?

Core Aesthetics is in Oakleigh. Patients often plan the visit from Chapel Street, Greville Street, Prahran Market, High Street, Windsor or nearby South Yarra. The practical value is easier review planning and clearer follow up, not faster treatment. Suitability still depends on assessment, history, risks, consent and whether waiting or referral is safer.
