Why does a wrinkle remain when my face relaxes?
A line can involve both repeated facial movement and changes in the skin itself. A crease that remains at rest therefore needs a different discussion from one that appears only during expression.
The assessment compares your resting face with ordinary brow raising, frowning and smiling. It also considers skin texture and any brow or eyelid symptoms. Tell your practitioner whether your priority is a particular crease, how an expression looks, or dry and uneven skin. Treating one concern does not necessarily change the others, and complete removal of a line is not a realistic promise.
Can skincare help before I consider treatment?
Yes. Moisturiser can make some fine lines less noticeable by retaining water in the skin, and sun protection helps limit further ultraviolet damage. Neither means that every established crease will disappear. Bring the names or photographs of products you use, especially if your skin stings, peels or feels tight. That is more useful than buying several new products before the appointment. Skincare advice, a medical skin assessment, waiting and no treatment can all be reasonable next steps, depending on the concern.
What if I have had previous cosmetic treatment?
Bring the date, area and treatment record if you have it, and explain what changed afterwards. A new crease, uneven movement or a feeling of brow heaviness deserves its own assessment before further care is planned.
You can request a copy of your record from the previous clinic. If you do not have one, tell us what you know without guessing the product or amount. Explain any unwanted effects and whether they are improving. A photograph from before previous care can help describe your usual appearance, but you do not need a collection of photographs to attend.
What are the limits and risks of a treatment plan?
A plan should explain what may change, what is likely to remain and the recovery required for the specific option. Treatment on the day is possible when clinically appropriate, subject to assessment, the necessary clinical arrangements, informed consent and agreed costs. It is not guaranteed. A review is usually around two weeks later and is free to attend; any additional treatment is charged.
Appointments are preferred but not mandatory. Cancellation is free with at least 24 hours’ notice. The clinic accepts Amex, Mastercard, Visa and cash without a surcharge.
What if the facial change is sudden?

Will moisturiser remove a deep wrinkle?
Moisturiser may make fine lines associated with dryness less noticeable, but it cannot be relied on to remove a deep established crease. If your skin is irritated, bring your current skincare details so that this can be addressed first.
