What your lip consultation includes
Your appointment begins with what you have noticed. Corey Anderson RN reviews your health history and previous care, then assesses the lips at rest and in movement. Relevant options, limits, risks, recovery, alternatives and total cost are discussed before you decide. Check Square for the current duration of the appointment you select. One initial general consultation is complimentary per person.
Consultation comes first. If treatment is suitable and appropriate on the day, this can be discussed with Corey during your appointment. Booking does not guarantee treatment, and you can take time to decide.
What would you like to discuss?
You can describe your concern without knowing an anatomy or treatment term. Common starting points include the outline of your lips, the balance between the upper and lower lip, differences between sides, or how the upper lip looks when you smile.
Who you will see
Your consultation is with Corey Anderson, Registered Nurse, Ahpra registration NMW0001047575. Verify practitioner and clinic details or read about Core Aesthetics before deciding where to book.
Agree on limits before deciding
No one can promise how your lips will look after treatment. Be specific about what would feel excessive to you, such as extra projection, a prominent border or losing your familiar proportions. Agreeing on those limits matters before proceeding. If your goal cannot be achieved within them, choosing no treatment is a valid outcome.
Health history and risks
Symptoms after a procedure
Call 000 for sudden vision changes or stroke signs, such as a drooping face, arm weakness or difficulty speaking. Unusual or worsening pain, or skin becoming pale, grey or blue near the treated area, needs immediate medical assessment. Contact the treating practitioner immediately; if they cannot provide immediate help, go to an emergency department. Do not wait for a clinic reply or routine review. Further urgent-help guidance.
For a first lip consultation, describe the fullness, outline or profile you want to discuss and what you want to retain. Bring your medicine and supplement list, allergies, previous reactions and any earlier treatment records. If care was elsewhere, include the date and clinic, what you liked and any unresolved concerns. If details are missing, say so rather than guessing. Your own earlier photographs can help describe change; a reference image is not a result to copy.
Mention previous lip care, medicines, allergies, cold sores, recent dental work and pregnancy or breastfeeding. Bring dates and any records from earlier lip care when available. These details can change which care is appropriate and when. If you have an active cold sore or new symptoms, contact the clinic before your appointment. Sudden severe pain, unusual colour or rapidly worsening symptoms need urgent medical assessment rather than a routine cosmetic booking.
Cosmetic procedures carry risks, including potentially serious complications. Suitability, recovery and the risks of any proposed care are explained before you decide. Results vary.
What if closing your lips takes effort?
Tell Corey if your lips meet comfortably at rest or if your chin appears to tighten when you gently close them. A gap or visible effort does not establish missing volume or identify a cosmetic treatment. Persistent blocked breathing, troublesome dry mouth, dental pain or a new bite change needs appropriate medical or dental assessment first. Healthdirect explains when to seek advice about dry mouth.
Dryness, cracking or stinging is a surface concern, not proof that your lips need more fullness. Ask about persistent irritation before considering cosmetic care. The American Academy of Dermatology lip-care guide explains practical care for chapped lips.
Ahpra explains the assessment, consent and risk discussion expected before non-surgical cosmetic care. The dry-mouth and chapped-lip sources below support the separate surface and oral-health advice, not a recommendation for a cosmetic procedure.
Recovery and review
Ask which risks apply to the particular option being discussed, including uncommon serious complications, and how they would be managed. The procedure-specific risk guide explains why general recovery estimates are insufficient. Obtain written aftercare and clear contact arrangements, including an alternative if the treating practitioner is unavailable. Do not wait for a scheduled review with a concerning symptom.
A consultation alone needs no recovery time. If you proceed with treatment, settling time depends on the procedure and your response. Early swelling can temporarily change size and symmetry, so the first appearance may not be the settled result. Before proceeding, you should know the expected recovery period, review timing and symptoms that need prompt attention.
Recovery before an event
Give the actual dates of weddings, photographs, work commitments or travel before deciding on care. Ask about visible changes during recovery and any return visits. Another person’s settling time cannot establish your own recovery timetable. You can keep the visit as a consultation if the timing or risks do not suit you; a two-week review does not guarantee that recovery is complete.
The two week review is an appointment arrangement, not a guarantee that recovery is complete. Tell Corey your work, travel or event dates before deciding. Read the lip aftercare guide alongside the written instructions for any care you receive, and ask about the limits of correction before proceeding.
Consultation cost and follow-up
Allow for a possible return journey from Keysborough and ask about any additional treatment costs before agreeing. American Express, Mastercard, Visa and cash are accepted without payment surcharges. Consultations have no cancellation fee. Please give at least 24 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule, and contact the clinic if plans change later. Read the current payment and cancellation policies.
One initial general consultation is complimentary per person. Check the selected Square appointment for its current duration and availability. If care is considered after assessment, the full proposed cost is explained before you agree. Read the consultation and pricing information.
The routine review is two weeks after treatment and is free to attend. Fees apply if additional treatment is required. Discuss aftercare, who to contact and any possible further costs before proceeding; do not wait for a routine review if you have concerning symptoms.

What should be clear before you agree?
You should understand why an option is being suggested, alternatives including no treatment, the risks that matter to you and the full cost. You should also know the aftercare instructions, review arrangements and who to contact. Use the four patient-safety questions during your discussion.
Read the first-visit guide if you would like more detail about the consultation process.
The Ahpra guidance explains informed decisions and practitioner responsibilities. Clinic fees and review arrangements are the policies described above, not statements from that guidance.
Before you book
Do I need to choose a treatment before booking?
No. Book to discuss what you have noticed and what you would like to understand. You can bring questions about lip shape, outline or movement without choosing a treatment. The assessment and discussion come before any decision to proceed.
What if I have an event or travel planned?
Tell the clinic when you enquire and discuss the date at your consultation. If you proceed with treatment, recovery and review arrangements depend on what is suitable for you. An event date does not promise treatment or a particular result.
Choose a consultation time
The Focused consultation listing covers a single lip or smile concern. Check its description and duration before confirming. If you have several concerns or are unsure which appointment fits, call 0491 706 705. You can book to ask questions without committing to treatment.
If the card does not load, use the full booking page or call the clinic. No time is reserved until you complete the booking process.
