Which consultation should you choose?

You can describe a concern in your own words. For example, say whether a line appears with movement or remains at rest, or whether a lip question concerns its outline or a new change. You do not need to name a procedure. A new sore, lump or painful change may need medical assessment first.

Plan from your actual starting point

South East Melbourne includes quite different trips. Enter 12A Atherton Road, Oakleigh VIC 3166 in the Transport Victoria journey planner. Use your actual starting address, appointment date and intended arrival time, not just the suburb name. Check service changes, the final part of the trip and your return.

From Bentleigh

Route 701 runs between Oakleigh and Bentleigh via Mackie Road and Brady Road. Check its current stops and timetable against where you are leaving from. It is an option to investigate, not a promise of a direct or accessible trip from every address. Core Aesthetics is in Oakleigh, not on Centre Road in Bentleigh.

From Clayton or Murrumbeena

Both are on the rail corridor through Oakleigh. Check Clayton Station or Murrumbeena Station, then use the journey planner for the whole trip to the clinic. Station access and service changes should be checked for your travel date.

From elsewhere in the south east

If travelling from the Waverley suburbs, Springvale, Dandenong, Moorabbin or further away, compare routes from your own address. Allow time for parking or connections without relying on a fixed journey time. Call the clinic if you have a firm departure deadline; travel effort does not make treatment appropriate.

What happens before a treatment decision?

Consultations are with Corey Anderson, Registered Nurse, Ahpra NMW0001047575. Bring a medicine and supplement list, allergy details, relevant health history and available records of previous cosmetic care. Do not stop prescribed medicines to prepare without advice from the clinician managing them.

Assessment covers your concern, relevant skin or healing issues and expectations. Ask why an option is being suggested, what benefit is realistic, its risks and limits, recovery, alternatives, costs, aftercare and review. Choosing no treatment or a different health professional may be appropriate.

The Australian Commission on Safety and Quality in Health Care’s Ask Share Know guide recommends asking about options, benefits and harms, and how likely these are for you. Ask what would happen if you waited. You can attend for information only, take time or seek another opinion.

Consultation comes first. If treatment is suitable and appropriate on the day, it can be discussed after assessment, informed consent and any required clinical arrangements. Booking does not guarantee treatment. Before deciding, understand the plan and costs rather than feeling obliged because you have travelled.

Costs, cancellation and planning a return

One initial general consultation is complimentary per person, with no obligation to proceed. Check the selected appointment listing for its duration and any applicable fee. Treatment is charged separately, with itemised costs explained and agreed before proceeding.

Reviews are offered around two weeks after treatment and are free to attend; extra treatment is charged. Ask about the review appropriate to your care and whether the return trip will work. Do not wait for a planned review if a new problem needs prompt attention. See patient safety and getting help.

Amex, Mastercard, Visa and cash are accepted without a surcharge. No consultation cancellation fee is charged. Please give at least 24 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule. See the full pricing and payment policy.

When should you seek medical care instead?

For a medical emergency, call triple zero (000) immediately. Sudden facial weakness or sudden loss of vision can be stroke symptoms; do not wait for a cosmetic appointment. Healthdirect explains when to call 000.

Sudden vision change or loss needs immediate medical help. If a doctor or optometrist is not available, go to an emergency department or call 000. For severe breathing difficulty, call 000 for an ambulance.

Severe or increasing pain, sudden swelling, changed skin colour, fever or rapidly worsening illness require prompt medical assessment. If symptoms followed recent care, also contact the practitioner or service responsible; do not delay urgent assessment while waiting for a reply.

A new or changing skin lesion, new lump, possible infection, dental concern or active skin disease may need assessment through a GP, dentist or relevant specialist. Core Aesthetics is not an emergency service. A cosmetic consultation does not replace diagnosis or urgent care.

Corey’s South East Melbourne Travel And Review Notes

Name The Actual South East Starting Point

Corey Anderson RN: South East Melbourne isn’t one journey, so I start with the place you’ll actually be leaving from. Clayton and Murrumbeena sit on the rail corridor through Oakleigh. A Moorabbin trip begins from the Frankston corridor and may need a connection. Check the live route for your appointment. I want the plan to reflect current services, any mobility needs and whatever you’ve got on around the visit, without pretending distance says anything at all about suitability.

Plan A Possible Return Before The First Visit

Corey Anderson RN: If you’re travelling to Oakleigh from the south east, I ask whether a later review or follow up journey would also be workable. The first appointment can fit neatly while a return conflicts with work, caring duties or transport. Naming that early lets me discuss timing with the whole pathway in view. It doesn’t predict whether care will proceed. It stops access becoming an unspoken pressure once the clinical decision is already underway.

Travel Effort Does Not Establish Suitability

Corey Anderson RN: Clayton, Murrumbeena, Moorabbin or five minutes down the road, I apply the same assessment questions. Time spent travelling doesn’t resolve missing records, unsettled health circumstances, poor timing or uncertainty about consent. If any of those are present, I may suggest more information, a different date, or another appropriate pathway. The journey matters for practical planning. I don’t treat it as a reason to arrive at a particular clinical answer.

Other area and clinic guides

Our Inner East and Bayside guides explain the visit from those areas. For the full directory, see areas we service. Every guide leads to the same Oakleigh clinic, not a separate branch.

Questions before travelling

Is there a Core Aesthetics clinic in Bentleigh, Clayton or Murrumbeena?

No. All Core Aesthetics appointments take place inside BeautyTHEQUE at 12A Atherton Road, Oakleigh VIC 3166. Those suburbs describe where people may start their trip, not separate branches. Check the business and address in your booking confirmation before travelling.

Which bus can I check from Bentleigh to Oakleigh?

Transport Victoria lists route 701 between Oakleigh and Bentleigh via Mackie Road and Brady Road. Check the current stops, timetable and service changes for your appointment date. Use the journey planner from your actual address, including the final part of the trip to 12A Atherton Road and the return.

What if I do not know which appointment to select?

Use the booking page to compare Focused, Comprehensive and Complex consultations. Focused includes a general first discussion; broader volume or structural concerns may fit Comprehensive. Several areas, concerns about previous care and longstanding underarm sweating belong in Complex. Call the clinic if unsure, rather than choosing a procedure.

Can treatment happen at the first visit?

Sometimes, if it is suitable and appropriate after consultation. It depends on assessment, informed consent, agreed costs and any required clinical arrangements. Booking does not guarantee treatment. You can attend for advice alone, take time to consider the options or decide not to proceed.

What is complimentary, and what costs extra?

One initial general consultation is complimentary per person. Check the current listing for the appointment you select. Treatment costs are separate and agreed before proceeding. Reviews around two weeks after treatment are free to attend; additional treatment is charged. Ask about the complete plan and inclusions before deciding.

Is the clinic entrance step free?

No. The entrance is directly on Atherton Road and has one step into the store. Call 0491 706 705 before travelling if that may affect your access. Do not assume a ramp, alternative entrance or lifting assistance is available. Parking availability also needs checking on arrival.

Can I ask about a support person or language needs?

Yes. Mention a language preference or support person when contacting the clinic so arrangements can be checked before booking. Bring your medicine and supplement list, allergy details and available records of earlier care. Do not assume a particular interpreter or support arrangement is available without checking.

What if I cannot make the appointment or a later review?

Contact the clinic or use your booking confirmation to cancel or reschedule. No consultation cancellation fee is charged; at least 24 hours’ notice is requested so the time can be offered to someone else. Discuss any difficulty returning for review before deciding on care, and do not postpone urgent medical assessment.
